Dr. Karan Oza was born in Baroda, India, but grew up and spent the majority of his childhood in Chesapeake, VA. He attended Western Branch from intermediate to high school. After graduating from Western Branch High School in 2009, Dr. Oza attended Virginia Tech.
While at Virginia Tech, Dr. Oza was involved with Students Helping Honduras, a student-led organization determined to build schools and libraries in the most impoverished parts of Honduras, and the German club. During his tenure in the German club, Dr. Oza volunteered at a local elementary school and taught children how to appreciate a new language and custom. Dr. Oza graduated Virginia Tech in 2013 with a Bachelor’s in biology.
In 2014, Dr. Oza attended Midwestern University in Downers Grove, IL, and obtained his Masters in Biomedical Science. In 2015, Dr. Oza began dental school at Midwestern University. He spent his time absorbing the didactic and clinical skills that he would need to become a proficient doctor and provider. He was involved with Alpha Omega dental fraternity and volunteered at a local elementary school to teach children the importance of proper dental hygiene.
Dr. Oza graduated from Midwestern University in 2019. His education was focused on teaching his patients the importance of oral health as it pertains to the whole body.
When he’s not in the office, Dr. Oza spends time with his family and friends. He is an avid soccer fan and he follows both Everton Football Club (located in Liverpool, England), and Bayern Munich (located in Munich, Germany). He also enjoys visiting local breweries and restaurants (please let him know if you have any recommendations!) and traveling. Dr. Oza is excited to be back in the Hampton Roads community and is eager to help the area that made him the man he is today.
